Fungi North Fife

Fungi, north fife, in this instance a Stinkhorn (Phallus impudicus) very attractive to flies that transfer the spores to other sites and cause issue, rather more subtle insemination than the animal realm and far less pleasurable.

This is the habitat of the fungi along with Ceps and Fly Agaric at this time of the year.

This forest pond is normally a soggy dip on the pathway but this year the rainfall has been very high. Perhaps a symptom of climate change, extreme anyway.
